Many personalities choose a journalism career yearly in Kurdistan; most of them start from the important point as correspondent and TV presenter or doing an activity on social media.

Working in the realm of Media with all instruments as a source of revenue and a hobby, hopefully, according to the related press laws, in comparison to the Middle East countries, further freedom is fulfilled to this career in Kurdistan, the duty has many responsibilities due to its sensitivity, it needs an awareness, either for the sake of protecting the journalism respect or away from the crimes that damage the journalist and the community.

The concept of responsibility is the journalists or the media instruments users are in charge of the content of the messages and topics or any negative outcomes that they will face via their messages.

Journalists have two responsibilities. If he/she sends a message via his/her personal account or cellphone, he/she takes responsibility. However, if the topic spreads in a channel like a journal, magazine, TV, or website, the franchisee takes the punitive and urban responsibilities that call corporate responsibility, for that reason, it is the editor's duty to evaluate the topics before spreading on the Media as it is stated in the second section of the article (4) of press law No. 35 of 2007. Also, the journalist takes the same responsibility under the name of the individual or community destructive.

In accordance to article (21) law No. 4 of 1998 of Kurdistan Journalists Syndicate the administrative punishments are:

First, warning the journalist by letter to not repeat once again.

Second, if he/she repeats alerting another time.

Third, attention this penal freezes the journalist from the job not more than one year.

Fourth, the person’s name erases from the public record for two years.

Finally, ethical responsibility is blessed as honesty, neutrality, cleanliness, etc. these principles are helpful to away journalists from any crimes while they produce an exemplary person. The International Federation of Journalists has accepted these principles as a legal appendix which attached to the press law No. 35 of 2007.
