The influence of Kurd in Egypt

King Muhammad Ali was the governor of Egypt from 1805 to 1848, his heritage was from a famous Kurdish family in north part of Kurdistan "Diyarbakir province”, also Abo Hassan son of Safadin was from east part of Kurdistan, he could rebuild all the mosques, and was build famous school in Cairo

Kurdish role in Egyptian society

The historical marriage relation had done between Kurdish and Egyptian people; it was traces back to the state of Mitanni and ancient monarch of pharaonic period. Some of Mitanni queens have got married with Egyptian pharaonics men, queens Nefertitigot married with Akhenaten Ammon four, with her husband were known for a religion revolution against ancient various worship in Egypt ,they were succeed to worshipped one God only ,Zoroastrianismreligion in (1353-1336BC).

After appearing Islam in Kurdistan many people have migrated to Egypt, includes the famous ones was king Ahmad Zwhak prime minster during (953-975 ,) he could destroyed the attack of Bezentis state to control Afamia castle. Likewise Abo Hassan Safadin was MP’s between 1148 to 1152; he was from a well-known Kurdish family in the east part of Kurdistan.

Salahddin first Sultan in Egypt was ruled between 1169 to 1171, he has Kurdish ethnicity, he could overcome Fatima monarch, and established Ayyubi state, meanwhile Hussein Al Kurd was the famous Kurdish military leader in Mamluk period , he could overwhelmed Portugalian sea force .

In recent history some Kurdish famous personality have appeared in most of aspects, for illustration religion figure Muhammad Abda, poet and journalist Qasm Amen, king of poetry Ahmad Shawqe, famous film producer Suaad Hosni …etc. According to Egypt consulate in Erbil more than 6000000 Kurdish people live in Egypt now.

Muhammad Ali was born in Kavala, Ottoman Macedonia to a family of Albanian origins. Then his family went to north of Kurdistan, He was a military commander in an Ottoman army who went to recover Egypt from a French occupation under Napoleon. He reached power through a series of political maneuvers.

He attempted to modernize Egypt by instituting dramatic reforms in the military, economic and cultural spheres. He also initiated a violent purge of the Mamluks, consolidating his rule and permanently ending the Mamluk hold over Egypt. In 1882, Egypt had been occupied by British army until 1956, when the last British troops withdrew in accordance with the Anglo-Egyptian agreement of 1954 after the Suez Crisis.
